Moon in the Pond Farm New Farmer Full-Year Apprenticeship and Summer Intern Drive
As a donor-partner, you join us in experiential eco-agriculture education and help build the next generation of clean farmers. And as a partner, you’ll immediately get to share some of the benefits of assisting in the education of new farmers with some of the great organic, heirloom, pasture-raised meats and vegetables produced at Moon In The Pond. Of course, all of our donor-partners are welcome…encouraged!… to visit the farm as often as they like.
$20,000 – Complete “New Farmer Full-Year Apprentice” Scholarship
Sponsors an apprentice for a year of personal one-to-one instruction, field trips, off-farm workshops, stipend, and room and board. To acknowledge your gift the scholarship will be announced in our on-line publications and bear your name on our website for its duration. To express our thanks to you: A meat and vegetable CSA share of $5oo in Bacon Bucks, a heritage breed Thanksgiving turkey, a hand written thank you note and a personally guided farm tour with Farmer Dom and a New Farmer Apprentice.
$12,000 – Six Month Scholarship for a “New Farmer Full-Year Apprentice”
To acknowledge your gift the scholarship will be announced in our publications and bear your name on our website for its duration. To express our thanks to you: A meat and vegetable CSA share of $250 in Bacon Bucks, a heritage breed “Large Black” Ham, a hand written thank you note and a report on the apprentice to whom it’s awarded.
$5,400 – Complete “Seasonal Intern” Summer Scholarship
6 months of instruction, experiences, that includes room, board, and stipend. Our thank you: A meat and vegetable CSA share of $200 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$2,400 – The Stipend for a Summer “Seasonal Intern”
Covers the weekly stipend of a Seasonal Intern for 6 months. Our thank you: A meat and vegetable CSA share of $150 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$1,000 – Scholarship for “Short-Term” Interns
includes room, board, and countless new mind-blowing, life-changing farm experiences for 2 months. Our thank you: CSA share of $125 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$500 – Sponsors a Research and Records Laptop Computer
That will allow apprentices to access WiFi for research, record-keeping and to contribute their insights to our social media outreach, and to updating MITP systems. Our thank you: A full day pass to participate in MITP’s ground breaking work on the farm, meals included, and CSA share of $60 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$225 – One Week of Room, Board, and Stipend for “Seasonal Interns”
Covers the cost of hosting an intern for a week. Our thank you: A full day pass to participate in MITP’s ground breaking work on the farm, meals included, and $25 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$100 – One Week Stipend for a “Seasonal Intern”
The all-important stipend helps interns and apprentices cover college loan expenses while learning full-time at the farm. Our thank you: A full day pass to participate in MITP’s ground breaking work on the farm, meals included, and $10 in Bacon Bucks and a hand written thank you note.
$60 – Hosts “New Farmer Full-Year Apprentice” for One Day

$40 – Sponsors Much Needed Basic Hand Tools
Like med. students need stethoscopes–apprentices, interns and farm volunteers need hand tools! Our thank you: A hand written thank you note.
